Bullet Canyon is a beautiful hike located in Bears Ears that will take you by several interesting ruins. The trailhead is located at the end of a well-maintained dirt road just off the 261. I decided to hike from the trailhead to the Jailhouse Ruins, for an 11.5-mile round-trip hike.

Not long after entering the canyon, you will come across the Rim Ruins located high on the right-side of the canyon. There's no designated trail leading to them, but one of the ruins is perched high up on top of a rock, making it easy spot. It's then a long, pleasant walk down the canyon to Perfect Kiva Ruin and Jailhouse Ruin. You will need to bring a map and keep your eyes peeled, as they are located a little off the main trail and there are no signs notifying you of their location. These were very cool ruins, and the BLM has actually constructed a wooden ladder leading down into Perfect Kiva to let you check it out.

I hiked this trail over Veterans Day weekend in November, and the weather was perfect. The trail was also not very crowded, as I only remember seeing about four other groups of hikers that day.
